Don't be. It was only your first patrol, there are many more to come.
Also, if you really want the Renown, you can manually add it to your record by editing the Patrol_0.cfg file found in your save folder in My Documents. Edit the Delta Renown value at the end of the file and you will have that amount when you reload.....
