BTW you can use your engine to support braking with that. Just shift one or two gears down (you should keep it within reasonable revs though). Saves plenty of brakes.
I don't think anything is built without fuel injection in today's auto world. Fuel efficent is 14:1 air/fuel mixture. Fuel injections does a much better job than a carb could every do. BTW, automatics also downshift automatically and saves your brakes.
