A funny side-note about the colour chart Dowly posted: The underside colour is listed as Duck Egg Blue (Sky Type "S"). Some sources claim these were different colours, with 'Sky' being greener. To confuse matters, there is also sometimes listed a 'Duck Egg Green'. Almost certainly these were names given to different batches of the same paint, with some variations in tone.
But more fun is the 'Sky Type "S"' reference. All British aircraft colours were officially listed as "Type S". Why only 'Sky' had the suffix tacked on in unofficial use is a mystery I've never found the answer to.
