By NOTE do you mean MARKER?
If so, you place the MARKER (ENTER by default) and then select it in the NAV map. Then double-click on it and you can enter a label for the marker. By placing three or four markers you can make a paragraph of sorts whe zoomed all of the way in... not an ideal solution, I agree, but it works for me.
If that's not what you meant, I apologize for my confusion...
