If I'm reading you correctly, the problem is right here:

The game won't read something in a zipped folder. It has to be unzipped into JSGME, or unzipped to the desktop and then placed into JSGME (the way I do it). If you mean you unzipped them and copied in the unzipped folders, then it should have the Data folder inside another folder which has the name of the mod on it.
