That 256Mb Radeon card will give you a very noticeable improvement in frame rates, versus the FX5200. The 600 series Radeon is roughly equivalent to the FX6000 - FX6200 cards from nVidia.
I used to play GWX with an FX5200 and it tended to lag badly whenever there were explosions. All those particle effects brought my card to its knees, so to speak. Partly, that was due to the particle bug in SH3 that afflicts nearly all nVidia video cards but it also had a lot to do with the card not being able to meet the demands GWX placed upon it.
You also should be able to play using higher quality for textures and slighty better settings for AA and AF, antialiasing and anisotropic filtering.
