Hehe, haven't even dared to try keeping a consumer-level Windows up for two weeks
The best thing about Linux-distros: Most are free. With some work you've got an excellent OS for a server, or with almost no work at all(at least Ubuntu is easier to install than Win7) you've got a great OS for your desktop. Hell, you can even install some distros straight from Windows with
Wubi and similar programs. I'm only keeping Win7 for gaming, but for all other uses it's great. For example all the good free non-linear video-editing programs are only for Linux(Cinlerra, Cinelerra-CV, Kdenlive, etc).
