Default Al Qaeda says would use Pakistani nuclear weapons

http://alertnet.org/thenews/newsdesk/LL556282.htm

Pakistan has around 60 nuclear weapons which are believed to be stored with the nuclear heads and the conventional explosives igniting them stored separately in an unassembled state, with carrier systems also located separate. The military control and security system has been upgraded after 2001, with the proliferation desaster of 2004 putting the efficency of that into question again.

Quote:
Pakistani officials have continued to rebuff American requests for more details about the location and security of the country's nuclear sites, the report noted.
Some of the Pakistani reluctance stemmed from long-standing concern that the United States might be tempted to seize or destroy Pakistan's arsenal if the insurgency spread further, according to the paper.
Clever little bastards!

"The student body has become very conservative, very Islamist, their outward appearance has changed," says Professor Hoodbhoy, the chair of the physics department at Quaid-i-Azam University in Islamabad. "It's row after row of these burqa women."
Students avoid talking politics with Hoodbhoy, a cautionary voice on nuclear weapons in a nation that takes boisterous pride in having them. "They think I'm on the wrong side," he says.

Conclusion: it is an utmost priority to find out the storage site(s) of the nuclear components of Pakistan'S nuclear weapon arsenal, and to prepare options to destroy these quickly if a state of emergency arises. since diplomcy certainly is unfit to gain this information, infiltration seems to be the option of choice. Success nevertheless is uncertain, but we cannot afford to ignore the need to gain this knowledge about location of sites.
