So...Reinstalled a clean 1.0 stock version, tried it - worked fine.
Patched to 1.4b, tried it - worked fine.
Currently installing GWX3, will report later if it is now working as intended...nagging wife wants dinner...should I tell her rations are short and we have to conserve food so no dinner today?
