Days passed and before long, young Deb was back to her old perky self. She ran into school mate River McIrish and they agreed to have a sleepover to celebrate the last day of school.
They returned to the Harry house for TV dinners. They spent hours discussing their plans and dreams.
They agreed to stick together and be there for each other in the years ahead. Mom Harry was happy to see Debbie smiling again.
River's future appeared to be set firmly in the world of hair styling. Debbie felt more than a little intimidated to admit that she really didn't know where life was going to take her. River said she felt Debbie should try a music career--she had heard Debbie's singing and she was one-of-a-kind.
Freed from the the hardest part of being a teen--curfew, Debbie walked River home and stopped by the wishing well to reflect on her future.
As she turned to leave, she stopped before the Ampitheater. Could she see her name in lights one day?
Debbie decided to sleep on it.
