If your using 1.4 version of the game , I use this mod:
PPI CIRCLE RANGE MARK, it works really nice.
This mod ;
1) activates the PPI CIRCLE RANGE MARKS.
2) Changes the color and style of the ppiCircles and Radar backround.

Zip contains ;
1. MR_PPI_BK_4 : Basic default marks.
2. MR_PPI_BK_RD_4-2 : 30 degree radial lines.
3. MR_PPI_BK_SC_40-20-8_7 : range scale.
4. MR_PPI_BK_RD_SC_40-20-8_8 : range scale/30 degree radial lines.
5. PPI_DS_RW-3 : Redwines requested PPI.
Note : #3 and 4 includes a 40|20|8 range mod to match scale on PPI.
