Summary
Oberleutnant z. S. Eduard Mertins and surving members of the crew surrendered to the Allies on 16JUN43. Eduard Mertins was sent to a POW camp in Scotland where he spent the rest of the war. A few days after the war ended, Eduard Mertins died in an unfortunate accident.
