So they want the Eurovision but they don't like Gay people? What the Hell do they think Eurovision is all about (besides bad 80's airstyle pastiches)?

Mayor of Moscow Yuri Luzhkov has consistently opposed gay parades in the capital for a variety of reasons. In 2007 he attracted international attention when he said of the 2006 parade:
"Last year, Moscow came under unprecedented pressure to sanction the gay parade, which cannot be called anything other than satanic."
