are visual readouts from the engineer yes,and I reckon anyone not being able to display these for any reason could always look at the gauges on the actual components themselves below deck.
As far as fuel is concerned I think getting a report from the navigator on how much fuel is available at the current speed should suffice,and just keep monitoring it from there.Thats what I do anyway
