let me give you an example.
I can be thrilled with the way that my son made an A in math and a B in Science... but he made Ds and Fs in all of his other classes.
OVERALL = i would be dissatisfied with his scholastic performance.
or how about this one
I can be happy with the way my car handles, and i can be happy with how comfortable the seats are... but if the car gets 6 miles per gallon and is in the maintenance shop every other week...
OVERALL = i would be dissatisfied with the vehicle.

i can be upset with my dog for piddling on the carpet, but i can be happy with the way he is learning to shake hands, lay down, roll over and play fetch, and i can be thrilled with his companionship.
