Long, long, looooong time ago. I've been kinda keeping one eye open for it to come on somewhere so I can see it again. I seem to remember it being a pretty good flick though.
The scene that sticks out in my head the most is when the Duke rammed that Q-ship to sink it.

I watched "Run Silent, Run Deep" (1958) a couple of weeks ago with Burt Lancaster and Clark Gable. There was some pretty good submarine footage. They departed from the book a huge amount though. In fact, it barely resembled the book. Character names were about the only things that stayed the same. Not badly done though-pretty good story.
