I don't know what it is with this game but I can't seem to get very far in any of my careers simply because at some point I just can't reload the game as it keeps crashing. In the latest episode I was on my 4th patrol in very early 1940. I made sure to be quite far from any ports and to be surfaced (with no other ships around) when I decided to save the game and get some sleep. Next day I come back and can't reload any of my saves (I have 3 of them on the same patrol). The game begins to load and I get to the message "Not so long ago..." and then CTD. Makes me really pissed off in all honesty
I haven't been able to get past 1940 in any of my careers to date because of this problem, and I really have no desire to replay the whole patrol over again as the one I was on was very successful (almost 150,000 tons). I was hoping the GWX3.0 would have taken care of this but apparently it has not. Never had this problem on patrols 1-3 though.
