The worst thing that happened to your country was that it was "discovered" by a bunch of european blokes who showed little to none respect towards the natives. (Dark chapter for us europeans...)
And as serveral people here has proved that the letter of yours contains some historical errors, I suggest you make some back up reading before you post something.
Read a book. They're quite good, at least some of them.
And yeah, American Civil War...something to be proud of, you think? I certainly wouldn't be.
