This again, huh?

Funny thing is, I don't think the folks running the Tea Parties ever used the term teabag. I think that was purely the media that did it wasn't it?
Not entirely. It was mentioned in a couple of the emails I recieved from the Texas Libertarians prior to the the tea parties. Not, y'know, over and over and over again, but they did encourage "teabagging the white house" at least once or twice.
So yes, conservatives did use the term. However, sending bags of tea to Washington was not supposed to be the main event. The tea parties were.

I suppose that is possible, but the double-meaning was not lost on most of the participants.

That being said, the way the liberal media handled the issue was pretty tasteless. I mean, one or two jokes, (haha, they're teabagging! lol) I could see. I could even see the talk shows maybe dragging it out for a couple of minutes. But for mainstream newsources to mention it as frequently as they did, in the manner they did, is getting a little ridiculous. Even the "messiah" thing didn't go that far.

It is kind of difficult for me to look at the issue objectively, though. The media regularly sweeps Libertarians under the rug, and that gets annoying after a while.
