this is the one thing i haven't seen to date - an overhaul of the stock shipping units. I am currently using the NYGM mod with many new units such as IABL's ships, some of VonDos liners, new trawlers etc. However, I am sometimes "dissappointed" when I encounter the stock units despite having the variety packs random skins. New or modified models are welcome, IMO.
Just curious...
Will these units become equipped with armament as the war progresses?
Will there be illuminated versions for neutral nations? (I know this requires extra collabortive effort)
Will they replace
all the roster nations stock units or just the "waring" nations i.e US and British?(something I tried doing was to take, say IABL's m16b and copy files into another nations rosters to add variety - but the more I looked into it, the moe complicated it got. Then i realised the ship names might be screwed up. Then I also created some nasty CTDs so I back tracked!)
Anyway, again its a great idea and I look forward to future develoments nik112, whatever the final outcome is!
It should inject yet more anticipation into the "Schiff gesichtet!" cry!!!
