You can't abandon ship or surrender in game so I tried a salvo to see if I could take any of the destroyers with me to the bottom.

In RL I would have to scuttle my boat but the DD's took care of it in about 15 to 20 seconds

EDIT- NYGM is a tough mod. At least 6 of the DD's that attacked me were not from the convoy but came as reinforcements from local ports or patrols. This was in that channel on West side of Britain with a narrow long island on the other side. I honestly believe that if I had not been destroyed these DD's would have followed me until I ran out of air.
