Usually, when you install SH3, it will ask you for your CD key, and also ask to install Starforce copy protection. I understand you cant play without doing this. Also, when you load the game up, a screen will show up for a few moments telling you it is checking the disk. Thats the copy protection.
Man its been so long since I've played SH3
