I used to be pretty decent - not great. I haven't really played in years other than teaching my son to play, and playing a neophyte 8 year old isn't really a god way to sharpen these skills.

have we ever played before? I am not sure. I started these chess threads in I think 2006 and I played against many different interested GT visitors since then, so I lost track a bit. I'm not too good at the table-and-board-setting, but I am a better correspondence chess player and analyst, becasue I can take more timen two boards, and pencil and paper

Interested? We have set the rules to no chess engines allowed, obviously, but chess GUI are allowed to keep track of moves and produce position diagrams, and literature where wanted is allowed, too. Pretty much the setting for regular correspondence chess.
