Well, Wiki says:"In practice, however, only the simulation of diffuse inter-reflection or caustics is called global illumination." And I have seen 'caustics' listed in the game so it must do some of that stuff you were talking about.
I know there are some people in here that really know there stuff when it come to lighting. ME, if it doesn't have a switch connected to it, I'm lost.
