If you are submerged, you can be quite a distance away and you'll still know because it's within the sensor range for your hydrophones.
I think that's true out to the range of the hydrophones, which I can't remember now but it's more than 30 kilometers, and that's several hours of traveling submerged at "kleine fahrt voraus". |
Yea that's the real way to find out. The cheaters method is to save and exit a short while later and see if your tonnage total increased for the patrol.
