I have a situation/question about Destroyers.
I am 4000 yards behind a large Jap convoy.
I'm on the surface at 18 knots - it's 6 am.
Convoy is travelling @ 13 knots.
Then the destroyers detect me.
Under water even at flank speed I'm down to 8 knots at best.
Even if I managed to survive the destroyers by the time I lose them
the convoy is gone.

How best to handle this?
