Hi!
Your best bet is to create the battle in the scenario editor with GWX 3.0 installed, and then put your U-boat wherever think the cameras need to be. That way you can control where the ships are and where they go. You can also set up different parts of the battle using different missions. This makes blocking, editing, and other film-making activities a lot easier.
IIRC someone made a movie of the last voyage of the
Bismarck several years back using SH3, with music from
Lord of the Rings.
