that list specifies the medals for the crew, not for the commander (also known as.. "the player" or "you"). that means... You will be given (not awarded) a knight's cross for you to award to a crew member, but only if BdU has already given (not awarded) you a Gold Cross for you to award your crew.
you'll have to check that file to see what are the requirements to be awarded (not given) a Knight's Cross.
