I don't know if there are any playable Japanese ships in RFB/RSRD outside of some third party mods people are or have worked on. RFB was constructed to concentrate on the US fleet boat campaign and more realistic ship sinking mechanics. RSRD was built to give more realistic Japanese ship traffic.
