One thing I have noticed is that SH IV saved games are big! Start of patrol around 300 mb. They go up from there and can get up to 1 gig apiece if the patrol goes on for a long time. I cant imagine a 4 gig thumb drive to have much more than 8 saves. If it starts taking a long time to save a game, Its a good sign that you are running out of room.

Don't tick the "save replay"(or something like that) button then. Normal size for saves in SH4 is from about 200 kb upwards to a few megabytes.
