I doubt it. If you're playing GWX, then the boot will distract them a bit with it's deck gun, but they can't shoot torpedoes. Stock doesn't even have other subs. All this talk about merchant's blowing from AI subs is fishy, since no AI sub torpedo mod has ever been successful
