I tried then a single mission and the load screen gets about 9/10 complete and doesn't move from that point. This happens exactly the same while trying to load the museum too. 9/10 load up and hangs at the same point.

I am using Win XP, SP3 P4 2.53 w/1 gb ram, nvidia Geforce 6200 w/512mb ram. Plenty of HD space.
Man I'm dying to play too.......

I found the same thing with the museum after loading GWX3.0 In fact the first time I tried it I thought my PC had locked. Second time it looked like it was locked again but I got distracted for a few minutes and when I came back it had loaded up OK.

I too have only tried the training missions so far with GWX, so I may find I have the same issues as you when I start my career.

I think the only solution is to wait a bit longer.
