it't not "blind firing"
its... more like... not-omniscient firing... both GWX3.0 's scope and other mods scopes (i personally like OLC's GUI) give you enough tools to predict the path of a target.
even so... you can measure the bearing and distance to a target and then represent that on you'r map... to make a "fake" red ship icon.
(omniscient? is that how you spell it?... you know... fomr Omniscience)
