Not really. The primary target of the
U-bootwaffe was Allied shipping, not enemy capital ships. There are plenty of merchant hunting grounds, and there are far more merchants than capital ships. If you removed the HMS Hood, Warspite, etc, how much of a dent would that put in the number of enemy vessels at sea?
And personally, seeing and/or sinking the HMS Hood several times over would kill immersion for me.
