Intel bought with Nvidia - so Nvidia is in no way a competitor. The Nvidia brand is owned by Intel, though they left the name intact as its brand is valuable to them.
I will tell you this, don't think that Intel is going to squeeze out AMD. If AMD goes under - it won't be due to Intel, but rather pure market conditions.
