Thx for the welcome (elsewhere) Brag! If your current desktop computer didn't come with a Windows XP install disc then you'll need to buy a copy (new or 2nd-hand - amazon or eBay, e.g.). Once you have this, and have your new laptop (pre-loaded with Vista) sitting in front of you, replacing Vista with XP should be a simple matter. OR (and this may be an unpopular suggestion
) you could 'add' XP to the laptop while retaining Vista (a pretty simple task), in which case you'd choose which operating system to use when you turned the machine on. Perhaps if you can't avoid getting a laptop with Vista on it, you could see how installing/updating/playing SH etc goes on it, and if needed, acquire XP?
