People seem to always be forgetting that freedom of speech has two sides.
Sure, someone is free to say unfounded, gutteral things about a public figure. Likewise, that public figure is free to call those people the lowlifes that they are. |
Kapitan Phillips is spot on except I think 'this is how things have worked' since the Roman Senate. She would have been better off to just 'smile and let it go...' regarding the slanders. Besides she threw herself into the fire enough times as it was.
I have little patience with celebrities or politicians who can't stand the heat. I would tell them, "I will snap my finger and you will never be bothered by the press or fans or scandal ever again"
