Uber...:
I wrote a lengthy thank you earlier and then the whole system went down. so I'll try again, pardon some confusion.
First thank you for the prompt and complete reply. I do appreciate it.
I interpret what you said that is that one exports the 'Embedded image' file from S3D into a graphics editor, that when one exports it S3D converts the hex file to a .tga file and one gets an expanded list of .tga files (or one of those multiple images in one cluttered screen that is common), that you then look at the .tga image (images?), modify the section or the image one wants to change, save it as a new .tga file and then export that file back into S3D (that is, use the "Import" function of S3D to bring that file into S3D), which translates it back into a hex file that SH3 can read. I had thought one needed a special 3D graphics editor in order to do this kind of thing. I can see the value of S3D if one does not need such a specialized program.
One question: does the Embedded Image file contain all the graphics that are used to create/paint the imagery for the entire sub interior? Seems a heavy burden, unless the Embedded Image file expands into a large file of various .tga files.
I'll cut it off here to make it short. Will give it a try and see where it goes.
Again, thanks for the assistance. (Hope this time the message goes out.)
