Why certainly. The ATF has lost something like 3,000 firearms in the last year, about 20 pounds of various explosives, and the alcohol and tobacco has been oddly dissapearing after new years celebrations from evidence lockers.
Seriously though, the U.S. gov't isn't much better at guarding all the stuff they're supposed to but somehow they get a free pass awhile we underlings get royal reamings for minor paperwork mistakes.  |
