However I doubt that this is the problem you are having, I still run XP pro and will do till the release of Windows 7, the retail price of windows is far too high to keep upgrading, and Vista is a lemon IMO, so sorry that I can't help further.  |

I went over to the Steam fgorum and it looks like the Steam version of SHIII is 1.3 with no plans for 1.4 being added in. A few people were complaining about issues with 1.4 and Vista so I steared clear. I was going to try the No-cd crack but figured I would just buy another one that's already updated.
In the end, I bought the DL version from Direct2Drive (version 1.4) though for $9.95. Not too shabby.
Now I just need to get it to run at 2560x1600 16:10.
