The biggest problem I've learned is the mtl nameing stuff.
And it's most often not the export program that causes it.

there are a ton of reasons that the original export mtl is wrong.
It depends on the original dat file your working with.

So I export and then check all exports with Deep Exploration 5
If it does not show the textures there?
I edit the mtl and obj files as needed till it does.

then I'll adjust the model and export from 3d Max,
again checking with Deep X.
