I too find Nascar boring. I like the endurance aspect of it, but that's it. I just can't stand that one simple track. Now, make it a figure 8 where the tracks meet in the center and that's entertainment!
Quite some time ago I played a simple little game called Destruction Derby on my PSX. It was so damn cool. I'd like to see something like that again. Flatout series was disappointing. I love wrecking me some cars. Destructive races and car combat have been long time favs of mine.
Just felt like mentioning,
I lose interest if there isn't some sort of structured series of events. A 'campaign' if you will. I need something to race for, I can't just race for the sake of racing or to get the best time. It dulls me. I need to be able to unlock something to keep progressing. Then I toss it. OR I need a game that lets HULK SMASH. That's always fun. I hate being 'penalized' and kicked out of multiplayer games for pushing people off tracks and I guess you could just say playing aggressively. I love aggressive racing! I bet if the Romans had cars, they would've had a grand spectacle of a violent sport to go with em. They knew how to have fun. And admit it, when you are just playing your little race and suddenly you see another player driving the wrong way with an intent to kill, that race of yours just got interesting.
I either hate a racing game because it's too fake or hate it because it's too real. GRID and DIRT are the only games that have had a sort of balance for me. Decent physics, a reason to play, and fun. Dirt doesn't work too good with my g25 though, so I don't play it much. Also, I only ever played the GRID demo. LOL holy **** I suck. I gotta get a new racing game, thinking I'll get Grid or uhm Live For Speed. That was pretty great as a racer, but lacked everything else I look for and if I'm not mistaken it was an online game. It stood out to me because it played beautifully on my wheel. My g25 was an expensive gift and just collects dust most of the time.

I hate it when I receive an expensive gift and make little use of it.
Does anybody know of any agressive or challenging racing games I might like? I would like something destruction derbyish with a cockpit view and decent physics. Maybe even something cheeky like obstacles in the track to try and make you miserable. That would be infinitely fun, but I'm afraid no such game exists. OHSHI I think I remember reading like a year ago about a 'Burnout' title coming to pc. I might enjoy that.
Anyway, I'm rambling, because somebody stole my car. Well it wasn't really my car because I don't drive, but somebody stole the car I liked to dream was mine. hah I loved that game.
ps. Baseball is indeed a
bore.
