Games like this unfortunately taught me just how incredibly boring ships can be when they aren't shooting at something.

On the bright side, that brought player down time to my attention in naval sims. IE: How to make the non-combat sections anything but tedious which seems to be the case in most naval sims.
I threw out some ideas like more control stations, repair and operation mini games, even crew interaction like boxing matches and card games. People lived on these freaking boats ya know.
