I certainly don't look on it as an accurate naval sim but, it's still a fun game, more a spiritual successor to games like the massive 80's classic hit "Carrier Command".
Funnily enough Carrier Command was actually designed originally as a ww2 naval game but the devs decided eventually on a futuristic approach as the hardware of the day Spectrum/C64/Amiga etc could not portray historical units accurately enough in 3D. Making futuristic craft freed them from this limitation. Smart thinking.
