Von Dos,

Absolutely incredible !!! She looks like the most realistic troop ship in the game!

I will see my Dad this weekend after the winter storm we are expecting in the Northeast. (He lives two hours away). He is not computer literate, so I show him your progress when he visits. I will bring the screen shots with me on my laptop for him to look over. He will be greatly excited to see this!

I will post his feed back here for you this weekend.

The only change I can see right now is fewer life rafts. Looking at the photo of the West Point, the model has 6 rafts too many in the mid section area. In the photo the rafts are in groups of 5 in the mid section of the ship, not all connected. Maybe remove 6-8 rafts in the mid section to seperate the rafts into smaller groups of 4-5 rafts each across the mid section.

Otherwise- just perfect !!!

A little story for you from my Dad- When he was crossing the Atlantic from the U.S. to Italy on the West Point in 1944, the ship was NOT escorted. She travelled alone because of her high speed. My father remembered that the whole ship would vibrate from the propellors when the stern came out of the water during heavy seas. There were other terrors. My father was assigned sleeping quarters below decks in the bow of the ship during the crossing. One night, my father was awakened when he was thrown from his hammock by a violent turn and lurching of the ship. Terrified, he asked a passing crew member what had happened. The sailor calmly said-"Nothing much, we just turned to avoid a torpedo." After that, my father rarely got a full nights sleep on board. (Oh, and my Dad said no one told the 7000 troops on board what to do or where to go if they were torpedoed- no life boat drills and no mae west vests).
