Good start.

U-69 was lost with all hands this weekend. The captain was too drunk and Bernard assumed command.:rotfl:

So I've started a new career. This time U-99, a VIIB. First patrol out, we are in October 1939. Casually cruising near Scapa Flow expecting to pepper unarmed merchants with my deck gun and get experience for the crew. The men are all green and I don't even have a sonar man.

''Ship Spotted''.... Lookie what we have here.

Reloading a torpedo and only had three tubes... Of all moments to forget reloading, it had to be then!

Anyways. I manually set up the shots. Two TII's, impact detonator at 5m and one TI set on fast and 6m. Shot all three fish with the same solution but the first two never hit. However...

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

A nice Kaboom. I subsequently chased it and put another eel, that time in her bow.

And she wouldn't sink, but has slipped out of formation and apparently can't keep up.

Game still running, that's where I'm at.

Hopefully we can catch up with her at flank speed on the surface tonight.
