Oh I understand the reasoning behind it,but once someone has jumped in the sea from a U-boat that your pretty sure you've DC'd the crap out of to carry on filling it(and anyone else trying to jump) full of lead is still rather a bit much,someone leaving a boat to take his chances in the atlantic is making quite a definitive decision.sometimes the actions of the allies seem somewhat malicious to say the least,they are lucky that someone on board a ship when U123 came to the surface had the forsight to stop them ramming it otherwise we would never have cracked the enigma.I wonder how many times in the past the chance came along to capture a U-boat was lost because the overiding desire was one of vengance and destruction,understandable but still distasteful.
