At least I won't be bothered with requests for American MRE's when I go back next year.
Seriously, though, the British troops did an excellent job in Fallujah and Al Ramadi despite their limited numbers. Always professional when required, and very fun the rest of the time.
I, for one, am grateful for their assistance and understanding of the political issues which may have contributed to their withdrawl. I can personally attest to the excellence of the Royal Marines during the time of Operation Southern Fire in September '05.
I wish them a happy homecoming, and give them a hearty thanks for their service in the coalition effort
