ISP Provided Router Support Stinks for Port Forwarding
I have a Westell E90-610014 modem/router for my DSL connection thru Centurytel. I attempted to host a game on Saturday and no joy. Afterwards, I called Centurytel's so-called tech support to find out "...we don't support port forwarding on the router. Go to Westell's website." I went to the link they gave me and go figure, it states to contact your ISP for help. So, here is a picture of my forwarded ports and give me a hint on if it should work.

Thats right, you shouldn't have any problems.
If your router firewall is active, then you have to create a rule so as not to block the dw incoming packets. Have a look also at your other software firewalls you may have running in windows (zone alarm, windows own firewall) and confgure them in the same way, to accept incoming dw packets. |
I got it to work as I added both TCP and UDP. The techsupport as you saw stunk and it was their hardware that they refused to support.:damn:

In the future, try portforward.com, free site with lot's of tips for setting up routers, opening ports, etc etc etc.
