Intro movie....

Hi guys....after getting everything reinstalled after my reformat expedition....I am experiencing a snag....it seems when the game loads up the intro movie is in yellow red and blue....the game is ok...but the intro movie is screwed up...which makes me think there is something amiss on my video card installation....any thoughts??

Make sure you installed the Windows Media Something that comes on the games DVD! Not DirectX, but something else. It should clear up afterwards! :yep:

Had to re-install my vid drivers to clear that issue up.

The I don't know what might have happened. I had the same problem on my old comp and it was solved only a short time before I changed the computer. I believe I installed another game and it installed something (like Windows media codecs) and then it worked fine.

But I don't have any problems on the new computer and I don't remember installing any other game but SH3 since the start and it worked fine. But now I strangely lost sound in the intro :hmm:

I also had this problem and was advised to upgrade Windows Media Player to version 10 (I had version 9). After doing this the intro movie played OK.

Also make sure that windows uses window media player to play all kind of video files
if you set up another program to do this, then the intro movie wont appear.

reinstalling the vid card driver and reinstall windows media player might also do the trick.

I had this problem with Rome Total war when I let Winamp to do my media files. the intro movie was gone, the menus was screwed (because of the video in the background) but when i saw that Windows was using winamp for all video files I set them back to Windows media player and that solved the problem.

Check your version of Windows Media Player and download version 10...it def sounds like a codec problem

I hate windows for garbage like that. Better not diverge from the mainstream or sh1t gets phucked up!:rotfl: Is there any rational reason that having a different default media program would mess up in game processing? Doesn't make sense to me. Seems as if those things ought to be separated. My games souldn't be screwed up by what I do when listening to music.:nope:
